It takes a lot to describe Amy Compston, the face behind the Amy For Africa (AFA) mission, because this do-it-all missionary for Jesus stays on the run both metaphorically and literally.
Amy is many things – wife, daughter, sister, mother, friend, an accomplished marathoner, inspirational speaker and fulltime missionary – but her heart clearly belongs to Jesus.
The 35-year-old has been literally around the world sharing what God has done in her life that included 14 years as a drug and alcohol addict. She has allowed God to speak through her grace story in churches, schools, civic clubs, jails, prisons and the missionary field of Uganda.
Her mission organization, Amy For Africa, began in May 2013 and has grown in support so much that Amy was able to quit her 13-year career as a registered nurse and become a fulltime missionary for the organization in March 2017. A book about her life, Grace Runner, was published in 2015.
Amy and her husband, Chris, have four children. They live in Ashland, Kentucky.
You will be totally inspired and challenged by her testimony. So mark your calendars now. You do not want to miss this spirit filled day of fellowship.
