District BLAST 2021

BLAST 2021 is going virtual! Anytime between now and April 30, 2021, make a video of your talent in any of the below categories. All videos should be wide (landscape), not tall (portrait). We'll have a panel of judges to judge all the videos and determine the top scorers. A few winners will even receive cash prizes for themselves and their church youth group! All entries should be in harmony with Christian values. Time limit for each entry is listed beside the category.

Categories
  • Vocal Solo - 4 minutes
  • Vocal Duet - 4 minutes
  • Instrumental Solo - 4 minutes
  • Instrumental Duet - 4 minutes
  • Puppets - 4 minutes
  • Drama Monologue - 4 minutes
  • Solo Choreographed Worship - 4 minutes
  • Preaching - 6 minutes
  • Sign Language - 4 minutes
  • Creative Video - 3 minutes (you can edit, you special effects, add music, whatever! Be creative!)
  • Visual Art - 1 minute of you showing and telling about your art + a high quality picture of the finished art
  • Variety (Magic, secret talent, comedy, impressions, gymnastics, etc.) - 4 minutes
  • Basketball Trick Shot - No more than 3 different trick shots

Filming Guidelines
  • For any of the performance categories, film somewhere that's quiet
  • Stand close enough to the camera that we can only see your head and shoulders unless it's absolutely necessary for you to be further away
  • Don't stand in front of a window or a light - make sure the light is coming from the front or side!
  • As mentioned before, film you videos in landscape (not in portrait). Your video should be wide, not tall.

Once your video is complete, and you've checked to make sure it's exactly how you want it, upload your video here. The deadline for uploading is April 30, 2021. Don't miss it!

During May, our judges will score all the entries, and we'll announce the winners on a date to be determined.
