Work Week 2021
Since 1943, Summersville Nazarene Camp has been blessed with two things!
First, the generosity of Nazarenes in West Virginia and around the world has been nothing short of amazing. Our Camp offerings are among the strongest in the denomination, providing a solid foundation of support. Through the giving of local churches, individual donors, and two districts, our camp has continued to be an effective ministry. Youth and Children’s camps, Lay Retreat, Camp Meeting and our Assemblies have benefited from the generous financial support of our people. Our second blessing is the important work of volunteers. Counselors, those that plan and direct our programs, and our Work Week volunteers keep our costs down and our camp running efficiently. Dedicated volunteers donate their talents by preparing the grounds for every camping season. Some help by cleaning and preparing the buildings. Others repair and provide maintenance on our facilities and equipment. But all of our volunteers build relationships that stand the test of time as we work and pray together for God’s blessing. With COVID lockdowns soon coming to an end, there is a far greater need of work week volunteers than ever before. Buildings that have been unused for well over a year need cleaned and repaired for the first wave of students coming for children’s camps in just a few months. YES! Camp will happen this year! We’re moving forward, believing that God will permit us to be together this summer. We need your help. Volunteers are important. Financial support is needed. But more than anything, we need your prayers and participation as we move past the isolation of the past year. Would you begin now by helping us during Work Week 2021? Prayerfully consider a donation from you or your church to prepare Summersville Nazarene Camp for another year of ministry. |
